Phase 1 of the Carthage Downtown Revitalization Project is anticipated to begin Monday, August 31, 2026. The downtown traffic circle will be closed to ALL vehicle traffic for ONE WEEK as construction crews work to begin the installation of pedestrian crosswalk islands. Town Hall will be closing at 2:00 pm today, Friday January 10th, due to a Winter Storm Warning. All major highways and main roads through town have been salted or brined. Town Hall will be reopening on Monday at 8:00 am. The Fire Department will be serving as a warm up station for anyone who needs to get out of the cold or charge a phone during the storm. Stay safe!
