Phase 1 of the Carthage Downtown Revitalization Project is anticipated to begin Monday, August 31, 2026. The downtown traffic circle will be closed in phases starting with the southern half of the traffic circle. Eastbound vehicles will need to follow detour signs to S. Ray Street. Due to sufficient rainfall to refill our water reserves, the Town has issued a Declaration of Termination of all water restrictions. Citizens are encouraged to remain diligent in helping us maintain a healthy water supply by checking for leaks, making sure faucets are turned off completely, and limiting water use whenever possible. Thank you for your cooperation and efforts at conservation.
