New Hybrid Pickleball & Tennis Courts Now Open at Nancy Kiser Park!

We’re excited to announce the opening of our newly refinished hybrid pickleball and tennis courts at Nancy Kiser Park! This project is part of the Town of Carthage’s continued investment in recreational amenities that promote health, wellness, and community engagement.

The courts are designed to accommodate both traditional tennis and the rapidly growing sport of pickleball. Whether you're an experienced player or just looking for a fun way to stay active, the new courts offer a flexible, high-quality space for residents of all ages.

We invite you to come out, enjoy the fresh air, and take part in the vibrant recreational life Carthage has to offer. Bring a paddle, a racket, and maybe a friend or two—and we’ll see you on the courts!

Need a Net? We've Got You Covered!

To help everyone enjoy the new hybrid courts to the fullest, the Town of Carthage has installed a lock box at Nancy Kiser Park containing two portable pickleball nets. These nets are used to convert the tennis court into two dedicated pickleball courts.

To access the nets:

  • Use the combination code: 4396

  • Follow the simple setup steps in the video below.

Please return the nets and cranks to the lock box after use so others can enjoy them too!

Whether you're trying pickleball for the first time or are a seasoned player, this setup makes it easy to jump in and play.

Parks Rules & Etiquette

Help everyone enjoy Nancy Kiser Park safely and respectfully:

  • Park hours: Sunrise to Sunset

  • Please share courts courteously—if others are waiting, please use the paddle rack to hold your place in line and keep track of who's up next.

  • No glass containers on the courts

  • Clean up after yourself and help keep the park beautiful

  • Pets must be leashed and cleaned up after

Let’s all do our part to make the park welcoming for everyone!
