Located at Nancy Kiser Park, next to Carthage Elementary School, the Born Learning Trail consists of a series of learning activities that any adult can play with young children in nature's classroom. There are ten learning and activity stations on the trail which include activities to encourage the caregiver to spur the child's imagination and storytelling skills building the child's curiosity and confidence as well as activities to build letter and sound recognition through word play, physical activity and rhymes.
The trail was sponsored by the United Way of Moore County and built with the help of volunteers from Moore Health as well as other local organizations and municipalities.
