The Town of Carthage is committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming community. If you see something that needs attention—whether it’s a pothole, overgrown property, a streetlight that’s out, or a possible code violation—you can use our Report a Concern form to let us know.

📝 What You Can Report

You can use the form to report non-emergency issues such as:

  • Potholes or damaged streets

  • Streetlight outages

  • Trash, junk, or debris on property

  • Overgrown grass or weeds

  • Inoperable or abandoned vehicles

  • Unsafe or deteriorating structures

  • Zoning or code violations

  • Other general maintenance or safety concerns

You are not required to provide your name or contact information. However, if you would like a follow-up or status update, we encourage you to include your email or phone number.

⏳ What Happens Next

Once you submit your concern:

  • It is routed to the appropriate department (e.g., Public Works, Code Enforcement, Planning).

  • Staff will investigate and take appropriate action.

  • If contact information is provided and follow-up is needed, we may reach out with updates or questions.

This form is not monitored in real-time. If you are reporting a public safety emergency, please call 911. For urgent after-hours issues such as water main breaks or road hazards, please contact Town Hall at (910) 947-2331 or our after-hours line at (910) 783-5723.
