In our Meet the Staff series, we're excited to introduce you to the hardworking individuals who serve Carthage every day. From planning and public works to administration and public safety, each team member plays a vital role in making our town a great place to live, work, and visit. Name: Kim Gibson

 1) What is your job title? Human Resource Officer, Town Clerk and Special Events Coordinator. 

 2) What does your job entail? All things personnel and benefits related. Policy enforcement for Human Resources. Recruitments and retentions. Maintain all records for the Board of Commissioners and Town of Carthage. 

3) What does a day look like for you? Stop and go. It switches on a dime! I work on one thing and then will return to another. A lot of paperwork, phone calls, people in the office. I multitask. 

4) What brought you to local government? I wanted something different. I spent twenty-three years at First Health doing administration work, so I wanted to learn a new field. Special Events Coordinator really drew me in. 

5) What is your favorite movie? Braveheart. 

6) What is your favorite food? Potatoes of any kind.
