Budget Hearings

Every year the Town of Carthage Board of Commissioners convenes for a public hearing to consider the proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year that begins on July 1st. While all public meetings are important, the budget hearing is one of the most important meetings as it allows Carthage citizens an opportunity to share their thoughts with the Board of Commissioners on the future of our community. Budget hearings are also where the annual tax rates are set.

Town staff work diligently for months ahead of time to prepare the proposed budget and create informative presentations to ensure that the public as well as the Board of Commissioners has the information needed to make the best decisions for our entire community.

Public attendance and input is strongly encouraged.
