| Bio Lived in Carthage for 17 years and has worked for the Town of Carthage since 1994. Served as Town Clerk/Zoning Administrator for 7 years and Town Manager since 2000. Graduate of Selenia Business College and Sandhills Community College. Completed the following courses at the School of Government at UNC Chapel Hill: IIMC Clerks' Certification, Master Municipal Clerks' Academy, Municipal and County Administration, Basic Personnel Law and Administration, Effective Management, Ethical Issues in Local Government, Performance Measurement in Local Government, Board of Adjustment Workshop, Introduction to Zoning, Zoning Officials' Certification Course and Contracting for Construction and Design Services. | Bio A life long resident of Carthage, attending Carthage and Union Pines High School and Sandhills Community College. Town of Carthage Finance Officer for the past 8 1/2 years. Previously worked for the Town of Carthage as Assistant Town Clerk/Treasurer for 2 1/2 years. Completed Finance Officers School and Budgeting and Financial Planning School at the Institute for Government at Chapel Hill. Member of the N.C. Finance Officer Association and The N.C. | Bio Certified Municipal Clerk- since 2001. I have been a Town Clerk for 16 years, employed with the town of Carthage for 6 years. I am a member of the North Carolina Association of Municipal Clerks and member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. I am a Notary Public. I entered the IIMC Master Municipal Clerk Academy in 2003. Classes include: NC Institute (School) of Government Effective Management 2002, IIMC Clerks' Certification Institute 2002, NC Institute (School) of Government Introduction to Zoning 2003, and IIMC Master Municipal Clerk Academy. FEMA-Emergency Management Institute Classes Include: Emergency Preparedness 2004, Emergency Planning 2004, and Principals of Emergency Management 2004. Department of Homeland Security- Orientation to Community Disaster Exercises 2004.
